Message from the Director

I want to thank each one of you for choosing CISJ, and I look forward to welcoming you as part of our community.

Saint Joseph International Nursery (CISJ) in the NAPE area is subsidised by the Social Welfare Bureau of the MSAR Government, provides diversified childcare services, and is licensed by the Catholic Foundation. CISJ offer a high-quality and professional infant and toddler care service. The nursery promotes learning through play in a play-based, multicultural, theme-based, hands-on learning environment. The Reggio Emilia approach inspires CISJ, and we believe children are unique and capable. Their potential can be expressed through the 100 languages. These languages (the Hundred Languages of Children) are symbolic and open to children’s endless potential.

At CISJ, we believe that children learn best when they can explore, experience, and socialise with children and adults; CISJ is committed to nurturing your child to reach their full potential. We empower a child’s natural curiosity to embrace understanding by encouraging children to play, communicate, explore, risk-taking and engage all their senses. Our method is to develop independency skills and support them to achieve confidence and build a good, loving and caring character.

In CISJ, the teachers are all certified, and our team is qualified and professional; all staff members have experience in early childhood. I am grateful to work with such as collaborative and excellent team.

The CISJ curriculum follows the Macau Social Welfare (IAS) framework and is adapted to Reggio Emilia’s approach with play-based pedagogy; this leans on everyday art activities, sensory play, and hands-on learning. We can’t wait to collaborate with families to conduct more workshops and seminars to families about early childhood education and extend open-ended exploration at home.

I look forward to collaborating with and supporting our staff in developing the attributes and skills to offer children a wonderful and caring experience in CISJ nursery.
