I was born in Lisbon, but I lived all my childhood in Macau.

Back in Portugal, where I did most of my studies, while working in Fashion as a Make-Up Artist and Fashion Consultant, I applied for a degree in Education, which allowed me to better understand Early Childhood Education, as well as Developmental Psychology and Special Needs in Children. After a while, I switched and concluded my Social Work degree. As a Social Worker, I had the experience of mediating between defendants and the Courts in Portugal; I worked in rehabilitating alcoholics and drug addicts, and I cared for orphaned children with Autism and ADHD, officially as an Accredited Social Worker by the Macau Government. With children, my first job in Macau was in a playgroup with ages between 1 and 14 years old, where singing, dancing, craft projects and storytelling have always been a big part of their daily routine in Portuguese. At the same time, I taught them English through Phonics Foundation.

Have knowledge of basic Mandarin, I’m native in Portuguese, fluent in English and a Cantonese speaker, which helps connect and comprehend many children – and overall people – in the Macau SAR.

My hobbies fall between baking/ cooking, travelling and everything about Aromatherapy, as I greatly respect Mother Nature.
